Waste Management Phoenix Open & Eco Friendly Golf Balls

Its that time of year when the rest of the North America is up to their waste in snow and the lucky folks in the great Southwest USA are taking advantage of the best weather of the year. Along with the good weather comes one of the best PGA events on the Tour: The Phoenix Open, now known as....

The Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Don't laugh at the new name. As a matter of fact I like it for many reasons. For one, it's time to start thinking green, raise awareness and be proactive. The words "Waste Management" don't leave you guessing about what the company does. They could have chosen a more artistic name to cover the grit and grime associated with handling garbage. Growing up, I remember the words "sanitation engineer" used to refer to garbage men. Who's fooling who? Waste Management means managing waste and sponsoring a golf tournament is a great way to bring awareness to an industry that touches millions.

To help do our part and promote green golf awareness we would like to Introduce...

Dixon Golf
Dixon Golf's Earth golf ball, the world's first eco-friendly golf ball. Did you know that your average everyday golf ball is toxic? The metals and pollutants in these golf balls are little by little poisoning our environment. When you shank a ball into a lake or out of bounds those lost balls eventual decay and release toxins. Every year Americans use 300 million golf balls. There's no need to do the math to understand the impact!

Dixon golf balls are "green" to the core. They are 100% recyclable and made from reprocessable materials. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material. What's even more impressive is that these balls are high-performance and play just as good as any other high-end brand name golf ball. You can learn more about these balls by visiting Dixon Golf.
